Protecting your private information is our top priority. We do not rent or disclose your Personal Information to third parties for their promotional purposes. MoneyDesktop may share limited Personal Information where a good faith belief exists that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce applicable Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, and/ or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of MoneyDesktop, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Regarding Personal Information:

Personal Information is gathered from users in order to provide a better experience through the Services. We require a basic user registration process in order to allow us to provide secure access to our users as well as to assign them a personal profile within the Services. To this end, the user will be asked for basic registration information, such as name, email, phone number, age, gender and zip code. Access to your Personal Information, account credentials or any other personally identifiable information you provide is strictly restricted and used in accordance with specific internal procedures.

In order to benefit from the full functionality of the Services, we provide users the option to upload third party account credentials to allow MoneyDesktop to access account data at those other financial institutions for your use. Such access to third party accounts may require the user to provide login and password information and by providing such information the user consents to MoneyDesktop's access of user's accounts. This information is not required to register for the Services and MoneyDesktop does not use such user names or passwords, or share them for any secondary purposes.

Additional Personal Information may be requested, from time to time, in order to provide the user with other benefits of the Services. In all such instances, the user will be given the option of agreeing to provide or declining to provide that information. MoneyDesktop may combine the information a user provides with information from other users or from other sources such that the aggregate information is anonymous and does not identify the user individually. MoneyDesktop may use this information and data for any purpose, including targeted marketing and research.

The Personal Information relevant to the user's account and accrued benefits is only displayed to the user. The layout and information provided within this area may change as there are upgrades or modifications to the Services. In order to use the Services, the user is responsible for providing current, accurate, and complete Personal Information. In the case that information becomes outdated or an error is found, it is the user's responsibility to notify MoneyDesktop of all pertinent changes. The settings tab under the main menu provides access to update Personal Information. The user may request deletion of their account through customer support. Some information may remain stored within the Services after account deletion for record keeping purposes.

Security:

MoneyDesktop uses a combination of firewall barriers, encryption techniques and authentication procedures, among others, to maintain the security of the Services. We use industry accepted standards and protocols in protecting the sensitive information collected within the Services during transfer by the use of SSL (secure socket layer) encryption as well as in employing physical safeguards in the protection of your information. While we take every precaution in protecting your Personal Information, no method is 100% effective at all times and we make no such guarantees.

For security and analytic purposes, we store information based on your interactions through the Services. The Site automatically logs many of the details regarding all visits and requests to our web servers. This can include the browser type, cookie information, and page requested by a visitor as well as the visitor's IP address. MoneyDesktop uses cookies (as explained below) to track the user's login status during the duration of the user's browser session.

All transaction details are recorded by MoneyDesktop. This information is encrypted and used to provide financial information and assistance when using the Services. These details, other than in aggregate form, are not shared with any third parties. Analytics are collected on the Site in order to allow us to count the number of hits we receive to our Site as well as to further explore statistically the actions of our users, such as what pages have the highest traffic so as to better optimize our product offerings. These tracking technologies gather information on an aggregate level and are not tied to users' Personal Information.

In order to protect your Personal Information, the user is responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your password together with your login ID/email address that allows you access to the Services. We recommend creating an alpha-numeric password 6-8 characters long combining both upper and lower case letters. Never write this password down and do not share it with others. If you access the Services via partner integration, you may not have a human readable password assigned to you. This authentication process is implemented by our partners and is required to comply with all MoneyDesktop security standards.

Cookies:

When you interact with and use the Services, we want the experience to be as rewarding as possible. As with most online businesses, MoneyDesktop logs information about user access to and the use of the Site. When you visit the Site, we may collect technical and navigational information, such as computer browser type, Internet protocol address, pages visited, and average time spent on the Site. MoneyDesktop may use this information, for example, to alert you to software compatibility issues, or it may be analyzed to improve the Site and/or Services.

We employ the use of cookies on the Services to keep track of user preferences as well as to monitor the Site traffic and usage. "Cookies" are alphanumeric identifiers in the form of text files that are inserted and stored by your Web browser on your computer's hard drive to recognize the user. A cookie also assists in keeping you logged into your MoneyDesktop account. MoneyDesktop may also employ the use of pixel tags from time to time to help better understand the Site traffic and optimize user preferences for a better user experience. (Pixel Tags refer to clear gifs, and web beacons which are 1x1 images set on web pages to track page traffic.) Most Internet browsers will allow you to stop cookies from being stored on your computer and to delete cookies stored on your computer. Please note, however, that if you choose to eliminate cookies, the full functionality of the Services may be impaired.

From time to time we may also employ the services of third party agents to help us analyze certain online activities and to gather and track aggregate statistical information on the Services on our behalf. The third parties may employ cookies and web beacons to this end. While we do not have control over these cookies, and the use of third party cookies is not governed by this Privacy Policy, this aggregated information is not tied to user Personal Information and it is used to optimize the Services and trouble shoot inconsistencies.

Location data:

MoneyDesktop offers location-enabled services, such as MoneyDesktop Mobile. If you use those services, MoneyDesktop may receive information about your actual location (such as GPS signals sent by a mobile device or information that can be used to approximate a location (such as a cell ID)).

E-Mail Services:

For your convenience, we offer the option of using email notifications, news updates, and account information via email. All mailings include an opt-out option. An email is automatically sent to the user following account registration. You may opt out of receiving these emails within the "Settings" menu in the Services.

Advertisers, affiliates and third parties other than MoneyDesktop:

This Privacy Policy only applies to the Site and the Services. While the Site may link to other websites, MoneyDesktop does not exercise control over the websites maintained by any third parties even if related to the Services or the cookies included in advertisements served on the Site. If you choose to use these other websites, use third party products or services, disclose information to the providers or grant them permission to collect information about you, then their use of your information is governed by their privacy policies. To clarify, MoneyDesktop does not accept responsibility for the services, actions and policies of third party websites you access, either with regard to the Personal Information you have provided to them, or which you authorize MoneyDesktop to give to them for accessing their websites, or which they obtain through your use of their websites directly and or through the Site. You should be careful to review any privacy policies posted on third party websites before signing up with or using them.

Information that is automatically gathered is generally used as an aggregate for purposes of providing information regarding our Services to advertisers. Personal Information is not individually disclosed to third parties. We may provide aggregate information to MoneyDesktop service providers for the purpose of aligning the proper services with users that most need them. Information that would identify you personally is not disclosed during this process.

We may use third party service providers to help us conduct or analyze certain activities within the Services, including employing third parties to audit the security of our systems and to assist in the marketing of our Services. As an example, we may use a third party to help us analyze a visitor's use of our product in order to optimize the user's experience and improve the Services. We provide these agents limited access to Personal Information on the Services only as necessary to fulfill their service provisions. Removal of User Account:

Users of the Services may elect to delete their account at any time. When you request that MoneyDesktop removes your account for the Services, your account and the data associated with it will be deleted and no longer be accessible from our primary production servers.

Business Transfers:

During the operation of any company it is occasionally necessary to purchase or sell assets. Such transactions generally necessitate the transfer of some user accounts and their corresponding information. The unforeseen sale or closure of MoneyDesktop as a business entity could necessitate the transfer of user information to another party which would manage your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may also choose to transfer all of your data stored with us, including your personally identifiable data, to a third party which may be operating, hosting or managing the Services. Should any of the foregoing events occur, you hereby agree and provide your consent to (i) the complete transfer of all data stored on your behalf to a third party; and (ii) the assignment of all obligations of MoneyDesktop under this Privacy Policy to a third party. We will notify you by email or prominent notice on the Services of any changes in ownership, control or management and the privacy practices to govern your Personal Information henceforth.

Policing:

Where necessary, we may be legally obliged to disclose information as it pertains to any actions of criminal or fraudulent nature. We reserve the right to disclose information to government agencies where necessary in complying with a formal request such as in a civil suit, subpoena, court order or judicial proceeding. In addition, the violation of our Terms and Conditions or the committing of a crime may necessitate the disclosure of the violator's Personal Information.

Profiles:

When users elect to provide testimonials on the Services, we post their first name, last initial and location with their testimonial. We obtain authorization prior to posting this information on the Services. MoneyDesktop is not responsible for the Personal Information a user elects to disclose within their testimonial. Additionally, within the Services and on our blog pages, we provide users the capacity to share their feedback through comments and collect email information prior to posting your comment; we do not publicly disclose this email address. When you provide a comment on any blog page, any personal information you include within the comment can be viewed by other users of this forum, and used to send you unsolicited messages. We encourage users to employ discretion when posting information in public spaces. MoneyDesktop is not responsible for the information a user elects to post in this forum.
